As a part of our commitment to racial equity, Interfaith America, and the staff who steward our grants, look to integrate thought partners with diverse racial backgrounds throughout the process of the grant- from creation to outreach, applications, implementation, and feedback. We are intentional about reaching out to new communities and partners, thinking critically about racial diversity in the applicant and acceptance pools, and prioritizing applicants that promote racial equity through their projects, engage their community, and are prepared to share their stories through our online platform.

Each fellow will be required to:

  • Participate in an exclusive, in-person fellowship retreat and six virtual (Zoom) meetings with their cohort on topics such as civic leadership, media storytelling, coaching/training, and strategic planning.
  • Attend the Summit in August of 2026 (exact dates TBD) and participate in the Emerging Leaders track. Transporation and lodging will be covered by Interfaith America.
