Religion in the Workplace
A Business Roundtable hosted by Accenture and Interfaith America
August 8, 2025 | 1:30-3:30pm
Chicago, IL

There is a growing body of research that shows that embracing religious pluralism enhances performance, retention, and inclusive behaviors. Organizations that prioritize religious inclusion report higher employee satisfaction across all religious, spiritual and secular backgrounds, creating a ripple effect that strengthens culture and engagement organization-wide.
Join leaders in the field — including speakers Sumreen Ahmad, Managing Director of Talent and Organization at Accenture and Sylvester Johnson, CEO of the Corporation for Public Interest Technology — for an intimate roundtable to explore how to activate religious diversity to address today’s pressing workplace challenges.
Prior to the Roundtable, join Eboo Patel and other civic leaders for the opening lunch & plenary session of IA’s Interfaith Leadership Summit. This year’s theme, Chords of Democracy, invites participants to share stories that celebrate the contributions of a religiously diverse society while fostering a shared vision of an interfaith America. In the opening plenary, IA Founder Eboo Patel will share his vision for the role pluralism in our democracy and moderate a conversation featuring Allison Briscoe-Smith, Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center; Mark Rodgers, Principal at The Clapham Group; and Rahul Sharma, Founder of Funkadesi.
