Zahra Jamal, director of workplace strategy at Interfaith America, spoke on the latest podcast episode of “ROI of DEI,” hosted by Vikram Shetty.
She says that “Worldview diversity is a multiplier. When leaders know how to respect, relate, and cooperate across difference, you actually get stronger trust and teams are moving faster and decisions are being made more quickly. But when leaders aren’t sure what to do or they’re afraid to engage with faith, then you get increased friction, you get more attrition, you get reputational risk.
“Worldview inclusion is actually a leadership capability. Respect, relate, cooperate is the operating system for trust. It really is a way to operationalize dignity so that people can perform without hiding who they are.
“A practical place for folks to start is by asking, where does worldview show up in our day-to-day decisions and where are we improvising?”
