Donna M. Carroll

President Emerita, Dominican University

Dr. Donna Carroll served as the President of Dominican University for 27 years, 1994-2021, and is currently an Interfaith America Senior Fellow, helping to navigate IA’s higher education practice.  A counseling psychologist by discipline, Dr. Carroll speaks and writes about leadership, vocation and resilience.  She has been a facilitator for CIC’s Presidential Vocation and Institutional Mission Seminar since 2013 and enjoys coaching new and aspiring presidents.  Dr. Carroll is recognized nationally as an outspoken advocate for immigration reform and the rights of undocumented students. In 2022, ACCU honored her with the Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, CSC Award for outstanding contributions to Catholic higher education.
