With November behind us, the 2024 Presidential Election is now less than a year away. We are already starting to see the bombardment of campaign advertisements, mudslinging, and constant urgency that election time brings to the news cycle and our timelines or feeds.
At Interfaith America we are setting a different tone. We have already begun to mobilize diverse faith and civic communities across the nation to support free and fair elections — and you can play a critical role in strengthening them without choosing sides or alienating your neighbors.
Interfaith America and Protect Democracy have teamed up to launch the Faith in Elections Playbook, a comprehensive digital guide of nonpartisan strategies civic and faith-based institutions can engage to safeguard elections, strengthen democracy, and mend divisions. The Playbook is full of tools to help address polarization, share trustworthy information, recruit poll workers, and more. With this resource, you can find a way to meet the needs of your community no matter your worldview, identities, or location.
To achieve our vision for active civic engagement across the country by organizations of all sizes, Interfaith America is offering two Playbook grant opportunities:
$1,000 Organization Grants for religious, educational, and civic 501(c)(3) organizations
$15,000 Network and Association Grants for 501(c)(3) national organizations, denominations, or networks
Please submit your applications by January 12.
The stakes are high this election, for the health of American democracy and resilience of our communities. For five years Rollie served as Congressional staff for Congressman Dean Phillips (MN 03) focused on stakeholder outreach, constituent services, and finding common ground with constituents across backgrounds and ideologies.
