Rev. Tasha Mitchell
Director of Student and Educator Programs
Rev. Tasha Mitchell (she/her) was born and raised in Southern California but has since lived across the U.S. She is a two-time alumna of Howard University, where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology. Tasha also completed her M.Div. at Vanderbilt Divinity School with a triple concentration and certificate in Black Church Studies. She is currently a Ph.D. student and trustee at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, as well as a part-time counselor at Relational Insight, Inc. Prior to IA, Tasha served as a pastor, grant auditor, higher education consultant, and an interfaith clergy partner through the Edgewater Community Religious Association (ECRA). She has over 16 years of experience in ministry, public service, and higher education. Tasha moved to Chicago in 2021 and has since fallen in love with the area. She enjoys traveling, the outdoors, entertaining, live music, good cuisine, cooking, sports, and all things DIY. Tasha is also a Chicago Sky season ticket holder and an avid supporter of the WNBA.
