Jake Shapiro

Jake Shapiro, Program Manager for Democracy Initiatives at IA, is a Jewish-American from Washington, D.C. Jake spent the last seven years working in peacebuilding in Israel-Palestine, holding various roles including in Dialogue Facilitation, Fundraising, M&E, Strategic Planning, and Media. He helped to build and scale an organization called Tech2Peace that combines dialogue and technology training. Jake has worked for a number of bridge-building and social justice organizations, including the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy and Pathways Institute for Negotiation. Jake holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Maryland – College Park. Jake was a professional cook and loves to gather friends, family and strangers – over food, music, chats, and good times.
