Interfaith Leadership Summit Pre-Convening for Senior Campus Leaders

Thursday, August 7 (11am - 5pm) & Friday, August 8 (9am - 1:15pm)

Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile (541 N Rush St., Chicago, Illinois, 60611)

We invite senior leaders on college and university campuses to join us for a special session on August 7-8, ahead of the Interfaith Leadership Summit. Drawing on the work of Interfaith America’s Advancing Campus Pluralism and Advancing Religious Pluralism Grantees, this session for Senior Administrators will explore models for sustaining pluralism during a particularly challenging moment for higher education. The session will showcase grantees speaking directly to the strengths and challenges of their work in the areas of curriculum, student leadership development, and dialogue and bridgebuilding. Building on these examples, the session will ask: given where we’re at today, what new approaches are effective? How can pluralism efforts be sustained when the higher education landscape is so fraught and tumultuous? What is the role of campus leaders in championing this work?

Meals will be included during the convening and the final lunch will take place during the opening plenary of the Interfaith Leadership Summit. Note that this event has a special registration link, separate from the main Summit registration. Pre-convening attendees can choose to register to stay for the full Summit and are encouraged to invite students and educators from their campus to attend the Summit.
