Kevin Eckstrom

Kevin Eckstrom joined Interfaith America as Chief Strategic Communications Officer in 2025, where he leads a team of talented storytellers who are committed to amplifying our mission to empower Americans to respect, relate and cooperate across religious differences. He joined IA after 10 years as Chief Public Affairs Officer at Washington National Cathedral, and a 15-year run as Editor-in-Chief and reporter at Religion News Service. Raised outside Boston, he attended George Washington University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He now claims Washington DC as his hometown, and you can frequently find him with his twin teenage sons, trying out old and new Swedish recipes in the kitchen, or searching the dark corners of eBay for obscure presidential memorabilia.
