Shafaq Choudry

Shafaq Choudry is a national and global urban planner, storyteller, and bridgebuilder with 15 years of experience shaping equitable, resilient, and people-centered communities. Her path spans government, philanthropy, and consulting—leading national and regional initiatives, advising civic partners, and founding Twilight Formation, a consultancy illuminating hope through collaboration and just systems change. Born in Venezuela and raised between South America, South Asia, and Chicago, Shafaq draws on her experience as an American Muslim to explore how pluralism transforms difference into connection. She holds degrees from UIUC and UCLA. Outside work, she enjoys biking, live music, comedy, and designing third-space gatherings that spark belonging and more just futures.
